CONTROLLO ACCESSI, VIDEOCITOFONIA IP

IP Video Intercom and Access Control at The Vermont on Cairnhill.

The Vermont on Cairnhill is a prestigious luxury residential complex located a short distance from the iconic Orchard Road, one of the city’s most desirable areas for shopping and lifestyle.

Developed by Bukit Sembawang View Pte Ltd in 2014; it includes three 20-storey towers with a total of 158 apartments. The common areas feature a spa, tennis court, swimming pools, and recreational spaces designed to offer residents comfort and well-being.

Special attention was given to the landscaping, conceived to integrate seamlessly with the contemporary architecture of the complex. Vegetation extends upward to merge with the green façades, while water walls and vertical gardens accompany the pool areas, creating a modern, sustainable environment aesthetically coherent with the urban context.

In 2025 the client selected Comelit to upgrade the security systems, choosing a complete solution consisting of a modern IP video intercom system and an advanced Comelit PAC access control system, ensuring reliability, efficiency, and a high level of protection.

Hybrid IP and 2-wire video intercom: Comelit’s solution for large residential complexes

To meet the complex technical requirements, Comelit provided a hybrid video intercom solution combining IP technology with the 2-Wire system.

The installation simplicity of the 2-Wire solution was enhanced by the advanced features and scalability of IP video intercom technology, which imposes no limits on the number of devices or distances. This configuration allows simultaneous calls from multiple outdoor stations with crystal-clear audio while also simplifying integration with the other security systems already present in the complex.

The system was implemented using the existing IP network, ensuring compliance with the project timeline, and enabling the creation of a scalable, upgradable, and easily expandable solution.
