FIRE DETECTION

Quattro Del Mar: Comelit fire detection for 888 waterfront residences .

Located on Hayat Island, in the heart of Mina Al Arab in Ras Al Khaimah, Quattro Del Mar is a new residential development by RAK Properties, forming part of the wider masterplan shaping the future of this waterfront destination.

The development comprises four interconnected towers, linked by skywalks and a shared podium, with a total of 888 residential units, including apartments, duplexes and townhouses. Residents also benefit from retail and dining spaces, wellness facilities, swimming pools, a gym, children’s areas and a wide range of shared amenities.

A development of this scale and complexity requires a fire detection system capable of managing a large number of devices across multiple buildings and areas with different functions, while ensuring that every alarm can be identified and located quickly and accurately.

To meet these requirements, LogiFire, Comelit’s addressable fire detection technology, was selected for the project. The system includes more than 25 control panels and over 3,500 detectors.

A system designed for the scale of the development

Quattro Del Mar, 888 waterfront residences in Ras Al Khaimah

In a complex made up of four interconnected towers and hundreds of residences, fire detection needs to operate as a coordinated system rather than as a collection of standalone devices.

The architecture must reflect the layout of the development, distribute system management across different areas and provide clear oversight of thousands of detection points.

At Quattro Del Mar, 25 LogiFire control panels enable the system to be structured around the configuration of the complex, while more than 3,500 smoke and heat detectors provide coverage across the areas defined by the project.

Thanks to its addressable architecture, the system can identify each connected device individually and pinpoint the exact source of an alarm.

This is particularly important in a development of this size, where immediate access to precise information supports both emergency management and ongoing inspection and maintenance activities.

LogiFire: flexible architecture for large-scale projects

At the core of the installation is LogiFire, Comelit’s platform for addressable fire detection.

For large and complex developments such as Quattro Del Mar, one of its key strengths is the flexibility to configure the system architecture according to the actual scale and structure of the project.

LogiFire control panels can be configured from 2 to 8 loops and networked in systems of up to 64 panels, making the platform suitable for installations with a high number of devices distributed across multiple buildings or functional areas.

The 7-inch touchscreen display makes system information easier to access and manage, while the addressable architecture ensures that every alarm or event can be traced back to the relevant device.

The range also includes detectors, manual call points and optical-acoustic signalling devices, allowing the system to be configured around the specific requirements of each building.

At Quattro Del Mar, this flexibility has resulted in an infrastructure capable of coordinating 25 control panels and more than 3,500 detectors and signalling devices, supporting the scale and complexity of one of Hayat Island’s major new residential developments.
