Comelit winner in Benchmark Magazine’s Innovation Awards 2016
Welwyn Garden City, UK, 15th August 2016.
Comelit UK is delighted to announce that it has won the Benchmark Innovation Award 2016 in the Access Control (Hardware) category with SimpleHome, its intelligent Home Automation system.
The annual awards, run by the authoritative security industry magazine, recognise and reward innovative thinking and the delivery of end-user benefits through advanced security solutions.
The magazine’s judging panel selected SimpleHome because “the system elevates the package of access control (door entry), surveillance and alarm management into a lifestyle product.” As part of the judges’ comments, they underlined the need for end-users to be able to control and monitor their own environment, as well as automating or remotely controlling a range of services such as heating, lighting, video surveillance and audio distribution – all from one dedicated control panel. SimpleHome achieves exactly this in elegant style with Icona Manager, its touchscreen monitor that combines Comelit’s ViP door entry functions with the latest in home automation. Alternatively, users can control the system using a smartphone, tablet or PC from anywhere in the world.
Francesca Boeris, Comelit UK’s Managing Director, said: “The whole company is delighted to have won this award. SimpleHome has gone from strength to strength since we launched the product at IFSEC 2015. The opportunity to grow this sector is now massive. SimpleHome has a multitude of uses and isn’t just aimed at high-rise luxury apartments. For instance, we’ve recently picked up several assisted-living projects where SimpleHome has been used to control the facilities of residents who may have mobility issues, learning disabilities or mental health problems.”
Francesca added: “Winning the category reinforces Comelit’s dedication to manufacturing the latest market-leading door entry and home automation technology. Shortly we will be adding some very exciting new products to our line-up – so watch this space!”
