Comelit’s Quadra scores a hat trick

The external door entry unit wins the Design Plus Award and will be among the products exhibited in the next edition of Light+Building

One year on from its market launch, Comelit’s outstanding Quadra continues to scoop up awards for industrial design.

The new external door entry unit from the Rovetta based manufacturer recently won the Design Plus Award, a prestigious prize for the products of exhibitors at the Frankfurt trade fairs. This year Comelit will in fact be one of the exhibitors at the next Light+Building fair, to be held from March 13 to 18 at the Frankfurt Messe. The award, initiated in 1983 and presented by Frankfurt Trade Fairs and other German companies, is given to the best products in terms of attractive design combined with innovative materials and produced by environmentally sustainable manufacturing processes.

The Plus Design Award brings the number of design awards won by Quadra to three. The external door entry unit was in fact selected by the ADI (the Italian Association for Industrial Design) as one of the excellent Italian made products picked to compete for the prestigious Compasso d’Oro, as well as winning the Good Design Award presented by the Chicago Athenaeum Museum of Architecture and Design, confirming an appeal that goes beyond national borders.
