Corporate Social Responsibility: Ecovadis rewards Comelit

Sustainable growth is one of the priorities in Comelit’s corporate strategy, which has placed attention on environmental issues among its values.

From obtaining the ISO14001 environmental certification to the implementation a few years ago of an LCA research program (ERPA model), which made it possible to define the current environmental impact of our products in order to implement improvement actions.

The business practices developed over the years have recently been awarded by Ecovadis with a “Bronze Medal” for Corporate Social Responsibility and a general rating that places us in the top 35% of companies evaluated through this platform.

EcoVadis analyzed suppliers from over 160 countries and operating in 200 market sectors, providing assessments based on the analysis of company policies, initiatives and objectives achieved in four areas: environmental commitment, working conditions and human rights, ethics and supply chain management .
Ecovadis is the first platform to provide judgments of this type, also indicating which are the strengths and opportunities for improvement.

In particular, Comelit’s attention to issues such as the constant monitoring of energy consumption and the consequent policies aimed at saving, the use of renewable energy sources, the implementation of policies for the proper disposal of waste was positively assessed.
