Enhancing ambulance safety: a successful camera project in the Netherlands
In the Netherlands, a very successful ambulance station camera project was recently implemented by Comelit. The main objective of the project was to improve the safety of ambulance post personnel and vehicles. After a competitive selection process, the project was awarded based on the provision of NDAA-compliant products, reliable support and a secure NVR housing solution.
The client, a non-profit organisation responsible for running six ambulance stations, sought a trusted partner to meet its specific requirements. Our reputation for providing reliable support played a significant role in building trust with the customer. Additionally, a remote ambulance post lacked proper storage space for the NVR, prompting us to provide a secure housing solution.
We offered tailored camera solutions for the project. The installed cameras were 8MP zoom cameras (IPTCAMA08ZB) connected to local NVRs supporting up to 8 channels. These cameras featured advanced security features and high-resolution footage for effective surveillance. Paessler PRTG software enabled proactive monitoring of the camera network, promptly notifying the IT department of any camera failures.
The implemented camera system significantly strengthened security measures for ambulance staff and vehicles, thus reducing risks and accidents. The project successfully met the client’s need to comply with NDA regulations, ensuring confidentiality and protection of sensitive data. In addition, a secure housing solution for the NVR was provided, overcoming the challenges posed by limited storage space.
By offering NDAA-compliant products, reliable support and a secure NVR housing solution, the project was successfully completed. The result is a safer environment for ambulance post operations, offering peace of mind to both staff and patients
